Students will be given an opportunity to conduct theoretical as well as experimental research in Pure and Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics.
Students with an interest in scientific computation will be given access to a Compute Cluster equipped with the user-friendly
MATLAB parallel programming tools. Available directions of study:
Modelling Quantum Metamaterials and other mathematical aspects of quantum systems and nanosystems.
I welcome MSc or PhD applicants who have an interest and some background in quantum theory.
Fast change-of-bases transforms, the Linear Canonical Transform, D transforms and their extensions.
I welcome MSc or PhD applicants who have an interest and some background in the mathematics of signal processing
or Harmonic Analysis.
Broadband Redundancy and its applications. I welcome enquiries with regards to a future PDF position from recent or soon to be PhDs with background in
Ergodic Theory or Analytic Number Theory. I also wlecome applications from prospective MSc students interested in the mathematics of Multimedia Security
Technologies.
The research topics are applicable to the emerging field of Quantum Engineering, but also
lead to new perspectives at some purely mathematical problems.
Students with an interest in the Quantum Theory, Harmonic Analysis, Analytic Number Theory, or Ergodic Theory may find the projects naturally appealing.
