RECOMMENDED PROGRAM for a 4-YEAR B.Sc. degree with
DOUBLE HONOURS in
STATISTICS and MATHEMATICS

This program provides excellent preparation for graduate study

in each of Mathematics and Statistics.

A. 72 c.u. of MATH & STATS Courses (see D. below)	MATH 110.3, 116.3 MATH 211.3, 238.3, 266.3, 276.3 MATH 360.6, 366.3, 371.3, 379.3 MATH 401.0 (2 years) STATS 241.3, 242.3 STATS 341.3, 342.3, 442.3, 443.3 6 c.u. from STATS 344.3, 345.3, 348.3 3 c.u. from STATS 346.3, 349.3 plus an additional 12 c.u. OF MATH/STATS courses selected from MATH 277.3 and 3rd- and 4th-year courses offered by the Department (except MATH 358.6, 363.3, 364.3). Students are encouraged to select these courses from MATH 277.3, 373.3 and the remaining 9 c.u. of STATS courses.
B. Other Required Courses	CMPT 111.3 (or 112.3), 115.3
C. Recommendations	Students are encouraged to include additional courses in Mathematics, Statistics, and areas of application within their programs.
D. Other Requirements	6 c.u. in each of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Languages and Humanities (these are usually at the 100-level). Another 6 c.u. of Social Sciences, Humanities or Fine Arts. Elective courses to bring total number of c.u. to 120 subject to: at most 54 c.u. at 100-level (or at least 66 c.u. at 200- or higher level), and at most 60 c.u. in one subject*.

*NOTE: For purposes of this program, courses in Statistics and Mathematics
may be considered as being in different subjects.
