plus 21 c.u. of courses** selected from

MATH 211.3, 226.3 or 238.3, 258.3, 277.3, STATS 242.3,

and 300- and 400-level Mathematics and Statistics courses,

to include at least 12 c.u. at the 300- or higher level.

Note: At least 24 c.u. must be denoted MATH;

the other 12 c.u. to be denoted MATH or STATS.

CMPT 111.3 or 112.3, 115.3

C.  Further Recommendations

Students are encouraged to include other courses in Mathematics, Statistics, and areas of application within their programs.

Courses in Computer Science, Economics and Physics are felt to be useful electives.

D.  Other Requirements

 6 c.u. in each of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Language,

and Humanities (these are usually at the 100-level).

Another 6 c.u. of Social Sciences, Humanities or Fine Arts.

Elective courses to bring total number of c.u. to 120 subject to:
at most 54 c.u. at 100-level (or, at least 66 c.u. at 200- or higher level), and at most 60 c.u. in one subject*.

 

*NOTE: For purposes of this program, courses in Mathematics and Statistics
may be considered as being in different subjects.

 

**NOTE:  Students considering teaching as a career often choose the additional

15 c.u. of courses to include MATH 258.3, 363.3 and 364.3.
