Probability Theory

Welcome to STAT 241. This is an introductory course in Probability
Theory for students who have taken a course in Integral Calculus. Previous
knowledge of Probability or Statistics is not assumed. However, students who
do not have credit for MATH 116 (either by having passed the course or
obtained a transfer credit) must speak to the instructor about obtaining
a waiver of prerequisite. Such waivers will normally be given for students
with credit for MATH 124 or for those achieving a grade of 80 or better in
MATH 112. Other applications will be judged on their merits.
