Title: The Disagreement among the Three Different Inference Schools and Methodological Unified Approach to Testing

Abstract: Fisher, Jeffreys and Neyman advocated the three different approaches to testing by using P-value, posterior probabilities, and Type I and Type II error probabilities respectively. Each was quite critical of the other approaches. This talk focuses on Berger's conditional frequentist approach to testing. The two main parts of the talk are the three approaches espoused by Fisher, Jeffreys and Neyman and corresponding criticisms, and the potential methodological unified conditional frequentist approach.
