HONOURS IN MATHEMATICS OR STATISTICS

The Honours program is essential for students who would like to pursue a graduate program in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics. This program requires students to take 54 credit units in Mathematics and Statistics. Students should take MATH 110.3 and MATH 116.3 in their first year. In the second year students take courses in Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Probability, and Statistics.

In the third and fourth year, students may concentrate in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics. Many graduates from this program have secured a career in universities, government, actuarial and statistics firms, or in industry.
