Papers by Thomas Ward and coauthors

From Thomas Ward's description: "[These papers] involve p-adic methods in an essential and unavoidable way. I can pretty much summarise the topic in one sentence: what can you say about the dynamical properties of a typical compact group automorphism? Of course it then gets a little involved, in particular with the fact that typical makes no sense here...
There are also a couple of ergodic problems where one has to use ultrametric techniques, and a tiny number of more conventional algebraic things."
