(3) Find the value of the other five trigonometric functions, given that sin = 3/5 when is in quadrant II.


SOLUTION:

              opposite
 Since sin = ----------  we get the following diagram:
             hypotenuse

 

 Using Pythagorean theorem we find that the other side is 4.

 Therefore we get:

 cos() = -4/5 (negative since it is in quadrant II)

 tan() = -3/4

 csc() = 5/3

 sec() = -5/4

 cot() = -4/3
