This problem is, upon closer observation, not as difficult as it would seem.  

To solve this inequality, 2x  2, imagine it is an equality:
	  2x = 2
It is fairly easy to see that x = 1 in this scenario.  For every value of 
x  1, the inequality is satisfied.

Therefore, the solution is x  1
